It's peak blooming time in the Shoenberg Temperate House. Yellow
Roses (Rosa `Sunsprite') and tall Snapdragons (Antirrhinum `Maryland

with their fragrance. Carnivorous Pitcher plants (Sarracenia sp.) are
displaying their unusual beautiful blossoms, and the Venus fly traps
(Dionaea muscipula) are growing and eating heartily.
The sweet fragrance of Jasmine permeates the air in the Linnean
House. The fragrant yellow blossoms of the Canary Island broom
(Genista canariensis) surround the fountain in the center.
Pansies in the Lois Whiteside Franklin Flower Trial Garden at the
Center for Home Gardening are becoming very showy.
Tulips and Pansies in the large beds in the Milles Sculpture Garden
make a showy combination.
