Early goldenrod in the Lucy and Stanley Lopata Prairie Garden are
showy. Look for the many different sunflowers in the Sunflower
Display. The Garden phlox and Spike gayfeathers in the Low
Maintenance Perennial Display are at peak bloom. The Supertunias
(Petunia axillaris) in the Flower Trial Garden are very showy.
Tall verbena and African daisies on Spoehrer Plaza are very showy.
Roses in both the Gladney and Lehmann Rose Gardens are at the peak
of seasonal bloom.
The Crapemyrtles in Bakewell Court are in full bloom.
Cardinal flowers growing along the stream in the English Woodland
Garden are in full bloom.
In the Shoenberg Temperate House, carnivorous plants are lush and eating
heartily, dining on insects. Look for the figs ripening high above
the tiled Moorish garden.
In the Linnean House, Impatiens are in full bloom and the foliage of
the Rex begonias is very showy.
Tardiva hydrangeas and Summersweet clethra throughout the grounds
are now in bloom.
Cannas are showy in the Heckman and Samuels Bulb Gardens.
The Mexican Sunflowers in the Isabelle A. Baer Garden are in full
bloom.
Coneflowers, Phlox and Goldenrod in the Swift Perennial Border are
very showy.
Tropical water lilies in the Milles Sculpture Garden pools are
showy.
The view of the new Kresko Victorian Garden and the Kaiser Maze from atop the
Piper Observatory is spectacular.
The flower borders along the path to the Center for Home Gardening
are showy.
