Ranunculus flagelliformis  Sm.;  Ranunculaceae

Hierbas acuáticas o semi-acuáticas que miden hasta 25 cm de largo. Las hojas son flotantes en la superficie del agua, de forma elíptica a ovada, miden hasta 1,5 cm de largo, están sobre pecíolos largos y delgados. Las flores son emergentes, miden hasta 7 mm de diámetro, tienen 5 pétalos de color amarillo limón; los pistilos son numerosos y de color amarillo.

Distribución: Costa Rica, Venezuela a Bolivia. En el PNC se encuentra en charcas o lagunas poco profundas.

Aquatic or semi-aquatic herbs up to 25 cm long. The leaves floating on the water surface are elliptic to ovate, up to 1.5 cm long, on long and slender petioles. The flowers are emergent, up to 7 mm in diameter, with 5 lemon yellow petals; the pistils are numerous and yellow.

Distribution: Costa Rica, Venezuela to Bolivia. In CNP it is found in pools or shallow lakes.
