Lupinus microphyllus  Desr.;  Fabaceae

Arbustos tendidos, cubiertos de pelos largos de color plateado. Las hojas son alternas, están compuestas de 8 hojuelas dispuestas en forma palmeada, son lineares, miden hasta 0,8 cm de largo. La inflorescencia tiene forma de racimos con hasta 8 flores. Las flores son irregulares, miden hasta 10 mm de largo; los pétalos tienen varias formas irregulares, son de color morado intenso con blanco. El fruto es una legumbre comprimida, mide hasta 15 mm de largo, que se abre por suturas.

Distribución: Colombia a Bolivia. En el PNC se encuentra en el páramo de pajonal.

Sprawling shrubs, covered with long silvery hairs. The leaves are alternate and compound; its 8 leaflets are palmate, linear and up to 0.8 cm long. The inflorescence is a raceme with up to 8 flowers. The flowers are irregular, up to 10 mm long; the petals, of various irregular shapes, are deep purple with white. The fruit is a compressed legume, up to 15 mm long, opening by the sutures.

Distribution: Colombia to Bolivia. In CNP it is found in the grass páramo.
