Geum peruvianum  Focke;  Rosaceae

Hierbas de hasta 80 cm de alto, cubiertas de pelos. Las hojas son alternas, las de la base están divididas, tienen la forma de lira, miden hasta 15 cm de largo, las hojas superiores miden hasta 4 cm y generalmente tienen 3 lóbulos. La inflorescencia de hasta 8 cm de largo, con 1 a 7 flores. Las flores miden hasta 10 mm de diámetro, con 5 pétalos abiertos, de color amarillo brillante; los pistilos son numerosos. El fruto se presenta globoso, de 15 mm de diámetro, y está formado por un conjunto de pequeños frutos secos, cada uno de 4 mm y con un gancho alargado.

Distribución: Colombia a Perú. En el PNC crece en áreas arbustivas.

Herbs up to 80 cm tall, covered with hairs. The leaves are alternate, the basal are divided, lyre-shaped, up to 15 cm long, the upper ones generally 3-lobed and up to 4 cm long. The inflorescence up to 8 cm long has 1 to 7 flowers. The flowers are up to 10 mm in diameter, with 5 open, bright yellow petals, with numerous pistils. The fruit is globose, 15 mm in diameter, and it is an aggregate of small dry fruits each 4 mm long and with a long hook.

Distribution: Colombia to Peru. In CNP it is found in shrubby areas.
