red stripes and darker yellow apices;

plus 1 cm long tails, cream-yellow.
Develops magenta shading in basal half

yellow with maroon shading laterally
and dorsally, tails orange distally.
Lip and petals yellow with maroon
tinting. Column pale green, anther cap
cream. Flower 3 cm long.

Epiphyte, uncommon.  Sepals greenish-
yellow marked with magenta, lateral
petals and lip magenta.  Occurring with
M. striatella, M. rolfeana and M.
