Sturdy vine climbing on wire fence in
full sun to height of 2 m; cultivated.
Peduncle, infl. axis and calyces suffu-
sed wine-red. Fls. at first pale violet,
later becoming magenta. Frts. light
green, tinged with wine-red especially
along sutures. Common name: "habas".
