The MISSION of Missouri Botanical Garden is ... "To discover and share knowledge about plants and their environment, in order to preserve and enrich life."

One of the many ways we do that is through education. Our Adult Education Courses and Lectures program offers an array of learning opportunities especially designed to enrich your experience of plants. Classes are being held at more locations in order to better serve our growing community. So browse around, you'll find we offer something for everyone, from the youngest to the eldest of students; we even have classes encouraging 'whole family' participation.

Special Classes
Attenders have very special learning opportunities with celebrated authors, horticulturists, artists, or photographers leading these classes. You might attend classes led by a noted chef, or a university professor renown in his field, or perhaps a successful entrepreneur sharing their techniques and strategy.

Cooking Classes
Where plants and kitchens come together - learn how to delight your family and grace your table with delicious new menus.

Arts & Crafts Classes
Not your ordinary arts and crafts projects...learn how to create decorative items for gifts or home decor with natural materials and imagination.

Gardening Classes
Attenders learn a variety of gardening techniques from experts in many aspects of Gardening. This is our specialty and we'd like to share it with you.

Garden Walks
It's a 79-acre classroom! Sign up for these classes to discover new plants, learn more about your old favorites, and leave with a gardenfull of ideas to try at home.

Landscaping Classes
Learn how to enhance and improve your property with landscaping; then develop a plan to meet your own landscaping needs.

Shaw Nature Reserve Adult and Family Classes
Missouri Botanical Garden's Shaw Nature Reserve offers a special curriculum of classes, including classes for the whole family.
