An important event update on the annual Green Ball to benefit the EarthWays Center:

Green Ball logo2015 was our final Green Ball!

Deep appreciation to our previous Green Ball host—Moonrise Hotel—and to our generous sponsors, donors and partners for helping to produce a fabulous event focused on celebrating sustainability and philanthropy in a fun way.

Thanks so much to our volunteers, eco-minded fashion contest judges and contestants, and all of you who attended—it was not a party without the crowd—and our guests were a great and engaged green crowd! Thanks for being there!

After six successful years of celebrating the Green Ball we determined we want to take on some fresh and new approaches with our outreach efforts and special events that will be more strongly aligned with the Garden’s mission. Therefore, 2015 was our final Green Ball.

While we greatly enjoyed the fun connections made at the Green Ball we are looking ahead to find alternate ways to create even more meaningful connections for the public to green their living, and to understand how our behaviors and choices have great impact on restoring and protecting the integrity of the ecosystems that plants need to thrive. As many of you know we will continue to coordinate the Green Homes Festival on an annual basis. And, in the coming months we will be sharing information on an EarthWays Open House (our first since 2010) we will be hosting early 2017 at our offices in the Commerce Bank Center for Science Education to help more people learn about what we do as we have seen a need for that kind of outreach.

Thanks again from all of our staff and we hope to have your support for our event efforts in 2017! Please visit our What’s New page for quarterly updates on our upcoming programs and more.
