Chemical Action and Usages: Daconil (active ingredient chlorothalonil) is a chlorinated benzonitrile fungicide that is available in several different formulations. This fungicide gives broad spectrum control of vegetable, flower, fruit and ornamental diseases including but not limited to anthracnose, leaf blights, downy mildew, powdery mildew, leaf curl, scab, black spot fusarium leaf spot and many other diseases. It is not systemic; therefore it must be reapplied regularly during the growing season. If used on food crops, consult the product label for the appropriate harvest waiting period after applications.
Cautions/Instructions: Read the label carefully of the brand and formulation you have selected. Apply the product according to the directions on the label. Do not apply to water or in areas where drift/runoff will cause contamination to any pond, lake or stream.
Toxicity: Can cause eye and skin irritation in humans, but is otherwise considered to be only slightly toxic. Low toxicity to birds and bees. Highly toxic to fish.
