General Culture:
Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun. Prefers rich, moist soils. Remove spent flower spikes to encourage additional bloom.
Noteworthy Characteristics:
This long leaf-speedwell cultivar is best known for its tri-colored (pink, green and cream), lance-shaped leaves (to 4.5" long). Upper leaves are often arranged in whorls on the stems. It is a tall, upright, clump-forming perennial which features dense, erect, terminal spikes (racemes) of tiny pale blue flowers atop leafy stems rising to 3-4' tall. Blooms in spring to early summer. Good fresh cut flower.
Problems:
No serious insect or disease problems. Taller plants may need support, particularly if plants are grown in less than full sun conditions.
Uses:
Borders, cottage gardens or meadows.
