General Culture:

Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun.

Noteworthy Characteristics:

This evening primrose cultivar is a nearly stemless perennial which typically grows in a loose, spreading clump to 6" tall and 12" wide. Features silvery, linear, lance-shaped leaves (to 2" long) and 4-petaled, lemon yellow flowers (to 2") which bloom throughout the summer. Flowers give way to winged seed capsules (1/2 to 1" long) which have some ornamental interest. Species is native to Kansas and Nebraska.

Problems:

No serious insect or disease problems. Plants are not too aggressive like some evening primrose species.

Uses:

Rock gardens. Border fronts. Edging.
