General Culture:

Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun. Tolerates light shade and a wide range of soils.

Noteworthy Characteristics:

A very low-growing, evergreen, dwarf, procumbent (trailing along the ground) Japanese juniper which grows to 8" tall and spreads out to 4-6' wide over time. This cultivar has green needles and generally forms a soft, rug-like carpet of evergreen foliage which does not hump up in the middle like some other cultivars.

Problems:

Juniper blight is an occasional problem.

Uses:

Low, spreading habit makes this plant useful as a ground cover for level ground or slopes, or for draping over a wall or as an accent in the rock garden or border front.
