General Culture:

Grow in average, medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun. Prefers moist, sandy soils. Tolerates light shade and clay soils.

Noteworthy Characteristics:

This Norway spruce cultivar is a dwarf needled evergreen shrub which has a compact form and a flat, often irregular, but occasionally rounded, habit. Grows slowly (3" per year) and may reach a size of 3.5' high by 7' wide after 30 years.

Problems:

No serious insect or disease problems. Susceptible to red spider, spruce gall aphid, budworm, bagworm and borers.

Uses:

May be used in the border or rock garden as a specimen, or as a foundation planting or specimen around the home, or as a small hedge.
