General Culture:
Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Best golden foliage color in full sun. Prefers moist, fertile soils. Avoid wet, poorly-drained soils, however. Shelter from wind.
Noteworthy Characteristics:
'Vintage Gold' is a dwarf, golden foliage form of Sawara cypress. It is an evergreen, mounding, globose cultivar that reportedly will reach a mature height of only 30" tall. It features golden, fine-textured, feathery foliage. Very slow growing.

No known serious insect or disease problems. Plants in the genus Chamaecyparis generally have some susceptibility to juniper blight, root rot and certain insect pests such as bagworms.
Uses:
Rock gardens, foundation plantings. Excellent dwarf specimen. Golden foliage provides year-round interest.
