General Culture:

Plant in full sun in dry soils.

Noteworthy Characteristics:

Sea holly is grown for its showy silver blue flower heads that are attractive in fresh and dried flower arrangements. Eryngium bourgatii has foliage with white veins that is grayer than most species.

Problems:

No serious known pests or diseases.

Uses:

Sea holly is a lovely addition to the perennial and mixed border.
