General Culture:
Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Best with some part afternoon shade in the St. Louis area. Prefers moist, fertile, acidic soils. Avoid wet, poorly-drained soils, however. Shelter from wind.
Noteworthy Characteristics:
‘Curly Tops’ is a globose semi-dwarf coniferous evergreen false cypress (sometimes called Sawara false cypress) cultivar. It grows very slowly, eventually reaching a mature height of approximately 4-5’ tall. Features a round mound of metallic blue foliage with twisted and curled branching.

No serious insect or disease problems. False cypress cultivars often have some susceptibility to juniper blight, root rot and certain insect pests such as bagworms.
Uses:
Rock gardens, foundation plantings. Specimen.
