Shibori

Shibori is the Japanese art of dyeing pattern into cloth by binding, stitching, folding, clamping, and wrapping fabric before dipping into dye. This art flourished in the 8th century B.C. Traditionally, shibori was created by dyeing fabric in a fermented indigo vat.

Artists from Indigo Moon People will make shibori throughout the festival in a tent in the Kemper Center display gardens.Storytelling
