Above: Anthurium centimillesimum, the six millionth addition to the Garden's herbarium. The leaf on this plant is over six feet in height. It had to be mounted on seven panels to be preserved.

The public is invited to join the Missouri Botanical Garden in celebrating the six millionth addition to the Garden's herbarium.
The event will feature remarks from Garden president Dr. Peter Raven, St. Louis County Executive Charlie Dooley, and Dr. Thomas F. George, Chancellor, University of Missouri - St. Louis.
Meet botanist Dr. Thomas Croat who collected the specimen in Ecuador's Pichincha province.
Enjoy light refreshments and a guided tour of the herbarium following the presentation.
