Music from Japan
Violin and Harp

The Watanabe Duo consists of violin and harp featuring Haruka and Ayoko Watanabe, both long-time members of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. This program will include compositions by Japanese composers, and works by Haruka Watanabe which blend elements of European functional harmony with Japanese folk music based on pentatonic scales.

This program is presented as part of the Community Partnership Program of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
