Soule Senior Programs for Individuals
Spring 2008

Seniors Enjoying a ClassThe following programs are designed to enhance your visit to the Missouri Botanical Garden. Programs held at the Garden run between 1½ to 2 hours, unless otherwise noted. Tram services will be provided for some programs held on the Garden grounds. Light refreshments will be served.

To register for these programs, please fill out the “Individual Program Registration” form and mail it to the address listed on the form. We look forward to seeing you!

If a class you are interested in is listed as “Full,” you may add your name to a waiting list which will be used if registered participants cancel before the date of the class. Please call (314) 577-9506.

Garden admission is free for those enrolled in therapeutic horticulture programs. Please bring your confirmation sheet with you on the day of the class.

Senior Group takes a break from gardeningSoule Scent-sational Senior Group
Have you ever wanted to participate in caring for this wonderful garden? Be a part of the Soule Scent-sational Senior Group! Join us as we partake in a twice-monthly, hands-on, educational program in the Zimmerman Scented Garden. Experience the Garden like you never have before!

Within the Scented Garden, you will aid in the planting of beautiful annuals and herbs and regular maintenance of the garden. You will learn about the plants, how to care for them, their sensory aspects, and their wide variety of uses. Using this knowledge, the group will have the opportunity to lead visitors around this special garden and educate them on all it has to offer. All About Orchids
Join us as we discover the intriguing world of orchids. In this hands-on class we will discuss history and lore, care and culture and repotting your orchids. Pot up your very own orchid to take home.
Class fee includes a visit to the Orchid Show.

Serenity Herb Garden
Gardeners can benefit from cultivation, too! Many herbs’ benefits do not stop at the gardens edge. Join us as we explore serenity herbs chamomile, lemon balm, catnip and lavender, just to name a few. Create a serenity tea and massage oil.

Senior enjoy a spring walkWoodland Garden Walk
Walk with us along the shady winding pathways as we explore the ever-changing horticultural beauties a Woodland Garden has to offer. Receive an extensive plant list of plants to use in all kinds of shady locations.
