About Education
The Garden’s Education Division is dedicated to developing a scientifically literate citizenry. Working in partnership with local schools, the Garden provides outstanding programs for nearly 100,000 children and 36,000 adults each year. Its innovations have made it a leader among botanical institutions in the United States and abroad.
Education at the Garden serves the entire community through three major goals:
- To educate children and adults about plants, ecology, and the environment.
- To improve science education in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
- To create learning opportunities for visitors as they enjoy the Garden.
