How to Plant a Tree
Saturday, April 6; 3–5 p.m.
Arborist Dave Gunn can help you celebrate Arbor Day by getting to the root of the matter! He will explain how to give a new tree the best possible change to grow big and strong in your yard. You will hear about common pitfalls, observe helpful examples in the Garden, and draw lessons from Dave's many years of tree-care wisdom. Come prepared for a walk.

Easy Tree ID (Offsite)
Three Tuesdays: April 9, 16, 23; 5–7 p.m.
Do you ever wonder about the trees in your neighborhood? Can you tell the difference between a native tree and an invasive? Take a beginner's tree ID class! Learn about the trees that make up your world. Join certified arborist Mark Grueber as he eases students into this multi-day learning experience through a presentation and lots of time discovering the Powder Valley Nature Center. Come prepared for a 1-mile walk.
