The Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Programme
Administered by UNESCO, MAB encourages interdisciplinary research, demonstration and training in natural resource management. Contains links to all 393 Biosphere Reserves.
The National Gap Analysis Program
Coordinated by the USGS, Biological Resources Division, gap analysis is a process of assessing regional biodiversity through mapping and ecological modeling. GAP received the "Earth Day 2000 National Award for Environmental Sustainability."
National Council for Science and the Environment (NCSE)

Rainforest Action Network
The most comprehensive site on rainforest activism, RAN works to protect the Earth's rainforests and support the rights of their inhabitants through education grassroots organizing, and non-violent direct action.
This is a wonderful site filled with links and information about rainforests around the world. Great kid site and a must-see for everyone.
St. Louis Invasive Plants Species Workshop
In December 2001, experts from across the globe met in St. Louis, Missouri to explore and develop workable voluntary approaches for reducing the introduction and spread of non-native invasive plants, which are serious threats to protecting biodiversity and ecosystems in the United States and other countries.
