Australian Plant Image Index
The Australian National Botanic Gardens manages a large collection of photographic slides of its activities and Australian botany. The bulk of the collection consists of identified Australian plant species, but there is also a large number of environmental and conservation images. Good images.
Includes low-resolution, small images (200 x 150) of over 125 California wildflowers. Most have been photographed in front of a black background.
This database contains nearly 30,000 images of plants, mostly from California. Searches can be made using plant name, color, and several other criteria. Images are usually very large (700 x 500) and may take a while to download. Excellent and comprehensive site!
It is dedicated to the enjoyment of the thousands of wildflowers growing on our national forests and grasslands, and to educating the public about the many values of native plants.
Henry W. Coe State Park
Located in the Mount Hamilton Range southeast of San Jose, California, this site is the home to Wildflowers of Henry W. Coe State Park and Vascular Plants of Henry W. Coe Park. These sites contain over 600 images, grouped by color.

Noble Foundation Plant Image Gallery
This Image Gallery is an ongoing project which currently includes over 600 species of vascular plants. The website was designed to assist botanists, ecologists, and natural resource managers with the identification of plants. Usually several images for each species.

I can't say enough about this site. Contains over 1000 beautiful images of wildflowers, native shrubs and trees, and landscapes. Indexed by common and scientif names, families, color, and location. Very well done site.
Wildflowers of Southern California
Images from southern California Chaparral, indexed by common, scientific and family names. Areas represented are chapparal, desert, eastern Sierra Nevada mountains, and the north coastal area. Also contains a nice key-like feature "What's that plant?"
Wisconsin Vascular Plants
Excellent searching (name, habitat, status, county) and browsing (family, genus, common name) capabilities. Currently contains over 4500 images covering over 2000 species. Detailed distribution maps are also available. Images range in size and quality.
