General Research Interests
My research focusses on floristics of neotropical Rubiaceae, and on the systematics of
several neotropical Rubiaceae groups. These include the tribe Coussareae (Coussarea
and Faramea), and Palicourea and neotropical Psychotria.
Palicourea is a neotropical
genus of about 200 species. Traditionally circumscribed Psychotria in the neotropics
is a heterogeneous group that includes at least 800 species (in relation to this, see the
Cephaelis and
Notopleura
home pages).
