The peak season of spring bloom will continue into mid-May. Dogwoods and azaleas
are at peak bloom and still very showy.

Look for the Giant dogwood (Cornus controversa) blooming by the Tram path
near the east entrance to the Woodland Garden.
-
Tree peonies are enjoying their all too brief season of bloom this week.
-
Bearded iris are beginning to bloom early this year. Cooler weather should slow their
progress for the time being.
-
Tulips and daffodils are past peak bloom, but a few remain showy.
-
Wood hyacinths (Hyacinthoides hispanica) remain showy in the Mausoleum Garden.
-
Woodland wildflowers in the English Woodland and Kemper Native Shade Garden are showy.
