Overall fall foliage color is past peak. Ginkgo’s are peaking this week.
Some dogwoods, sassafrass and black gum are still colorful. Burning bush on
the islands in the Japanese Garden are brilliant. Japanese maple foliage will
peak in the days ahead.

Eastern witchhazels (Hamamelis virginiana) are blooming in the daylily,
woodland and Japanese gardens.

Many roses are still blooming in the Gladney and Lehmann Rose gardens.
