Some camellias are now blooming in the Linnean House. Peak bloom in this
conservatory typically occurs in mid to late February.

The sweetly scented flowers of the aptly named Hamamelis vernalis
‘Christmas Cheer’ (Vernal witchhazel) bloom on mild sunny days in the Jenkins
Daylily Garden.

Fruits of hollies are showy at this time of year. Especially noteworthy is
the Winterberry hedge (Ilex verticillata ‘Red Sprite’) in the Kemper
Bird Garden.
