Missouri Botanical Garden: Plants in Bloom

August 8 - August 14, 2003

• Tropical waterlilies in the Milles Sculpture Garden are in full bloom.

• Tardiva hydrangeas (Hydrangea paniculata 'Tardiva') are flowering throughout the grounds.

• Roses throughout the Garden are showy.

• Daylilies are past peak bloom in the Jenkins Daylily Garden, but many are still flowering.

• Look for the beautiful blossoms of the Caper vine (Capparis spinosa) in the Shoenberg Temperate House. The capers you eat are the flower buds of this plant.

• Impatiens (Impatiens walleriana 'Dazzler Series') brighten the beds beneath the camellia trees in the Linnean House.
