Missouri Botanical Garden: Plants in Bloom

June 20 - June 26, 2003

The fragrant Bottlebrush buckeyes (Aesculus parviflora) are at peak
bloom. Enjoy the magnificent grove along the Tram path just south of the
Climatron® Geodesic Greenhouse.

Japanese water iris (Iris ensata) in Seiwa-En are at peak bloom.

Lilies are in full bloom in the bulb gardens.

Roses throughout the Garden are very showy.

Many daylilies are now in bloom.

Enjoy the rich aroma of gardenias (Gardenia angusta ‘Mystery’) in the
Shoenberg Temperate House. Look for the beautiful blossoms of the caper vine
(Capparis spinosa); the capers you eat are the flower buds of this
plant.

Impatiens (Impatiens walleriana ‘Dazzler Series’) brighten the beds
beneath the camellia trees ) in the Linnean House.
