The Camellias are at their peak of bloom in the Linnean House.
Don't miss the spectacular show! Cyclamen and Primrose decorate the
beds below the Camellias, accompanied by the sweet scent of the
Fragrant olive trees (Osmanthus fragrans).

Enjoy an early spring in the Shoenberg Temperate House. Inhale the
intense fragrances of the Paperbush (Edgeworthia papyrifera), Winter
daphne (Daphne odora 'Marginata') and Fragrant sweetbox (Sarcococca
ruscifolia). Masses of flowering Cyclamen blanket the upstairs
portion of the house. Fairy primroses and Daffodils decorate the
tiled Moorish fountain.

Escape to a warm tropical paradise without having to get on a
plane! The large Orchid tree (Bauhinia blakeana) and the showy Powder
puff tree (Calliandra haematocephala) are just two of the many plants
of interest in the Climatron® Geodesic Greenhouse this week.

The fragrant flowers of Witchhazels open on warm, sunny days in
many location on the grounds. Large specimens of the Ozark witchhazel
(Hamamelis vernalis) can be found in the Jenkins Daylily Garden and
Seiwa-En, the Japanese Garden. Large Chinese witchhazels (Hamamelis
mollis) in the Oak Grove, Arnold promise hybrid (Hamamelis x
intermedia 'Arnold Promise') in the English Woodland Garden, and the
Jelena hybrid witchhazels (Hamamelis x intermedia 'Jelena') in the
Hosta Walk are also in bloom.

Snowdrops (Galanthus spp.), Crocus, and Winter aconite (Eranthis
hyemalis) are blooming in many locations on the grounds. Hellebores
are becoming showy in the English Woodland Garden.

Fragrant Winter honeysuckles are blooming in the English Woodland,
Zimmerman Scented and Kemper Fragrance Gardens.

Pansies are beginning to bloom again in several locations on the
grounds.
