Whitaker Music Festival 2008
Wednesday Evenings, June 4 - August 13

The Whitaker Music Festival returns for a 14th season with free Wednesday-night concerts. The series was named best music festival by the Riverfront Times in their Best of St. Louis issue.

Picnicking is allowed on these nights, so concertgoers are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic suppers to enjoy. Food and drink may also be purchased.

The Children’s Garden is free on Whitaker Wednesdays from 5 to 7 p.m.

Please leave pets and barbecue grills at home and remember, the Garden is tobacco free

Whitaker Music Festival

Enjoy warm breezes, hot jazz, and cool tunes when St. Louis's premier outdoor concert series returns to the Missouri Botanical Garden.

Performing July 9— Javier Mendoza
Javier’s amazingly vibrant sound comes from a rich diversity in musical influences. He combines Spanish flamenco rhythms with the American folk-rock traditions to create a style all his own. Javier’s long list of awards merit the appeal of his music to a multi-cultural audience, and highlights his international touring schedule.

The festival is funded by the Whitaker Foundation, which supports St. Louis arts and parks to promote common heritage, celebrate diversity, and encourage vitality within the community.
