Power of Plants Contest

• A complete entry form must accompany all entries, including a parent or guardian signature.
• All entries must be student-only work.
• Each person can enter once as an individual and once with a group, for a total of no more than two entries.
• Employees of the Missouri Botanical Garden and immediate family members of employees of the Missouri Botanical Garden are not eligible.
• This contest is only open to residents of Missouri and Illinois.
• Group entries of mixed ages will be judged in the category of the oldest participant.
• Entries that exceed the size limits will not be accepted. (Maximum size for two-dimensional entries is 18 by 24 inches and for three-dimensional entries is 12 inches wide by 24 inches tall by 12 inches deep.)
• The Garden will not accept entries that require electricity, contain perishable components, or that could damage the walls or floor in the display area.
• The Garden staff will use care to move student work, but is not responsible for any accidental damage.
• Entries that are mailed with insufficient postage will not be accepted.
• Entries received after Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. will not be accepted.
• Artwork will be available for pick-up immediately after the participants’ reception in May and in August 2010 (Specific dates and times will be sent to participants).
• Participants’ names and photos may be released to the media and can be used by Missouri Botanical Garden in any and all publications and web sites in perpetuity.
• Entries focused on Rosy Periwinkle or Vanilla will not be eligible for prizes.
• All entries may not be on display, due to space constraints.
• Entries that violate Copyright or Trademark laws will not be eligible for prizes.
